What is a debut (deh-boo)?
A debut is a coming of age party
when a Filipino girl turns 18
For this project we had to come up with a way to announce and promote
an upcoming event, I chose to make
an 18th birthday invitation.
I wanted it to be different from the other invitations that have been made for other debuts. I decided to make it into an accordion gate fold invitation.
The Forces have an annual newsletter that is distributed twice a year. They wanted to have more of a magazine feel to it, so I came up with a design solution to use sanserif fonts to update the look as well as crop and place the photos
to make the whole piece flow.

on this publication. (Context of letter –
he is one of the top 5 people in the
Canadian Armed Forces)
The client wanted signs for the branch’s logo, slogan and sponsoring group as well motivational and inspirational real estate quotes around their office. They wanted to have a modern and casual feel so we used dark tones contrasting against the white walls and for accents;
I used the Century 21 yellow.
This is an interactive typography book that educates the reader a bit more about typography and how those fancy quotes on tumblr and Instagram are made. There are inspirational quotes, grids and dots, as well as basic information about typography.

The second year Graphic Design program had a fundraiser at The Forks, where the students had to create artwork on location. The funds benefit Winnipeg Harvest and the Spectrum 2015 Design Showcase for the graduates of Graphic Design, Advanced Graphic Design, Digital Media Design and 3D Computer Graphics.
For this assignment, we had to create and illustration that shows an understanding of aesthetic value through digital medium and become more aware of the functions and categories of communication art.
